Get ready to cozy up with a good book this winter and join the KPL's Winter Reading Challenge - Get Your Mitts on a Good Book! We have fun, engaging challenges for all ages— from kids to adults—along with exciting prizes to keep everyone motivated.
For adults, we are trying something new this year. Track your reading in three-hour increments and complete tabs on your reading sheet. Each completed tab gets you closer to fantastic rewards, with your first tab earning you a KPL mug and your final tab earning a KPL oven mitt! Plus, each tab submitted enters you into our grand prize drawing for items like a cozy cooking package, a six-month FitStop membership, an Amazon Fire tablet, and local restaurant gift cards. Pick up your reading sheet at either the Kendallville or Limberlost branch and start reading your way to some amazing prizes!
Kids and teens can participate in our Youth Winter Reading Game Board Challenge. Set a reading goal for each game board tile, and after completing five tiles, come to the library to pick up a prize and at the end enter for a grand prize! We have themed baskets, including options like Frozen, dinosaurs, arts & crafts, Pac-Man, sloths, and outer space. Once you've finished a game board, feel free to grab another to keep earning entries and rewards!
The Winter Reading Challenge runs from December 30 - February 8, 2025, so there’s plenty of time to dive into great books and earn fantastic prizes. Stop by the library today to get your materials and start reading your way through winter!
